You would never know that Jennifer Aniston has a fear of flying; her acting career has been soaring since before she was even a teenager. At 11 years old, she got a taste for acting in a school drama clubs and productions. Jennifer began serious, professional training in drama while attending the New York High School of Performing Arts; she graduated in 1987. After high school, Aniston appeared in a few Off-Broadway productions, before landing her first television role in 1989, on Molloy. After a quick succession of roles, including The Edge, Ferris Bueller, and Herman's Head, she was asked to audition for a new televsion pilot, Friends Like These.

In 1994, she refused to audition for the role of Monica, opting instead for the uptight, uptown princess role of Monica Green.
